    All I can remember is this has something to do with Dune and I've read every freakin book and most of the prequels before giving up (buying any more prequels, that is).

    Yup, it's from Dune. Muad'Dib was Paul Atreides Fremen name. Bea Arthur was Maude.

    Hey, you got your 70's sitcom in my 60's scifi! Well you got your 60's scifi in my 70's sitcom!
